Cool used music store with lots of 7” vinyl records at fair prices. Some LPs are priced at the front. Theres also a lot of movies here too in all types of formats, dvd, blu ray, vhs, laserdisc. There are hardly and new items here, mostly used which has its pros and cons. The upper terrace gives a nice overlook of the entire store.

The store is located on West Portal, which is a great street with lots of very cool shops. When you first see the store, it's very appealing, like finding an old antique or book store. It's full of records, CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray Discs, and memorabilia. It's cool until you start crate digging and realize that the majority of records are either obscure artists or albums from B & C listed artists. The majority of records are common that you would find at other record stores dollar bins. Except the price tags here are $4.99 to $12.99. Most of the records would grade at G+ - VG. There are some VG+, but I don't think too many people are going to want a beautiful copy of Herb Albert or Paul Revere and the Raiders. I'm sure at one point they had some great stuff, but I'd say 90% of the vinyl here are shelf fillers. I don't want to be too harsh because it is a cool store to browse through if you are walking around West Portal, but I wouldn't make it a reason to come to this part of town. The owner is pretty chill and helpful. I understand, good collections are hard to find, but there are other stores in the city that have some great records at decent prices. And, as I mentioned before, many of the records here can be purchased at many of the other store's dollar bins. I hope no one thinks I'm bashing the store, but as a vinyl hunter, I'm looking for substance.

I absolutely love this place!! Even though they don't always have the music I'm looking for, the owner and the atmosphere always make this place a fun trip when I'm in West Portal. I love checking out the different records, CDs, and other cool projects the store has. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area and you want to check out a cool store!

Music stores are a rarity, so visiting my local music store was quite a treat. They have a wide selection of vinyls, CDs, DVD movies, and even blu-rays. Many of the vinyls aren't necessarily collector's favorite. Many of the covers that come with them have seen better days but they are offered at a very reasonable price that even competes with eBay prices. The guys behind the counter know their stuff, so if you need something they might have it in inventory so just ask!
