Absolute must stop for any record nerd or someone looking to discover something new! They are always rotating new USED stock (no stagnant bins here like a lot of shops), The cheap record below are always bursting with really cheap heat for those who like to sit and dig and finally the owners are super friendly, knowledgeable and approachable which makes for an excellent place to grab a stack. Definitely Recommend.
One of the best-curated stores in the Bay Area. Dig their broad selection of genres, with special attention to international & jazz records. Rarities and stellar budget albums all around, so you can get lost in the stacks even if you aren't feeling spendy. The listening station is superb and makes it easy to try out some of the albums you might be curious about. Shop space is very chill and open -- excellent vibes while digging. Quality is first and foremost, so you don't have to sift through the same ole slog / filler in the bins to find something salvageable. I am always looking for Brazilian music and have never failed to find something here, usually alongside some stellar jazz or soul too. Don't sleep! (esp. if you are into Japanese City Pop !! ).
Fantastic record store in a fun location. It's carefully curated with records you're guaranteed to not find in any other store in the Bay Area, especially when it comes to jazz, experimental, and international records from all four corners of the globe. Oh, and there's a listening station if you can't tell your "city pop" from your "afrofunk". Support these guys and give it a spin!
This is a great record store. I've found some awesome titles here and I'm always discovering something new. Don't be shy about getting in touch with the owners, Dylan and Peter. I bug them all the time for a little guidance. They do a nice job of tailoring recommendations to what I'm interested in. The other week I ended up selling some records here as well. Fair prices, especially compared to some of the bigger retailers. Thanks guys! Ben
Most fun you can have shopping for records in SF, hands down. Thoughtfully curated and clean selections at all price points that are frequently updated. Their Japanese city pop and jazz records in particular have brought the excitement of discovery back to my relationship with music. Rare African and Caribbean records and minty American jazz classics. Ambient and new age synth weirdness. Why slog through dull records at bigger shops or ruin your eyes scouring Discogs when you can shop here and relax for once. Good chance they have something you’re looking for and something you didn’t know you needed. Friendly staff too, no bad vibes.
