Best record store in the midwest? I made a point to stop here on my way back to Chicago from the driftless region in WI and I'm so glad I did. Where other shops fall short, Toad Hall excels in flying colors. Deep selection, fair pricing, stocking refurbished stereo equipment, helpful and courteous owner and staff. I just broke out a record I purchased there during my stop and was taken aback at how good of condition it was in, the price I paid. Can't wait to go back, absolutely worth a daytrip out to Rockford if you don't live nearby

You know how you usually arrive at a record shop and the owners/clerk are often a bunch of grumps? Not here! Anette could not have been nicer as she gave me the $3 tour of the place which is huge. I wish I would have had more time to browse but I still found some gems and the prices are reasonable. They were all excited about home town heroes Cheap Trick had a new album coming out the next day and had cardboard cutouts / signed copies even. A great spot that you have to stop by!

Great nook in the wall! For stereo equipment! Dvds!blu rays! Cassettes! Vinyl! Great selections and awesome staff! Will be going back for more dvds and blu rays! Again Great staff and hospitality! Epic selections! And out of this world awesome pricing! A must have and must go if your in rockford! Let's gooo!

Went for the first time last week. This place is SICK. Super fun if you like a labyrinth of a massive music library (plus books and films/tb to boot!). I plan to visit again next time I'm in town.
