Anyone visiting Nashville should add this as a destination. Bring a piece of the vibrant music scene home with you ans support artists. So many cool things to do and look at. Visit the functional listening booth and sample albums they have in the store. The monkey band machine DOES work. Such a cool little gem of a spot. Plus if you are a Jack White ir The White Stripes fun this is definitely your spot. Lots of other musicians and artists to support also!
Loved it except for one of the employee came up and put her face on my window trying to see inside my van. Just drove from San Diego, CA to Nashville, TN and this was my first stop in the city, need to relax a minute and feed my sidekick who was looking forward to some kibbles. It was intrusive and unflattering of her. When I came in she followed me around like I was going to lift a sticker. Dropped well over $100 and paid cash, might of purchased more had she shown some respect to herself and not double down on her embarrassment
Such a cool little place. We always try to stop there when in Nashville. It is more than a record store; it's an experience, with tons of unique gadgets to see. The recording booth was being repaired and wasn't there today (they said hopefully around winter or after it will be back). It is the coolest thing ever. You can record your own 111 second, 6 inch vinyl, and it presses it right there... The area has gotten a bit rougher since the last time we were there, and parking is super awkward, but still a place worth checking out. (There is a parking lot across the street, but I've never seen so many homeless people in one spot, and no one was parking there). I recommend this place anytime asks for something to see in Nashville.
Been wanting to get here for awhile and now that I moved within a manageable distance, made it happen and it was rhe coolest experience ever since Jack White is one of my top favorite artists. It's a pretty small place off the beaten path well you wouldn't expect it to be, but once you walk through the doors you're transported to a whole nother world. So much cool stuff to look at and see, also you can interact with a bunch of it. You can play guitar and peruse through whatever kinda merchandise you want. Especially like the fact you can listen to a specific record you want, or actually catch a show in another room. Such a cool place.
What a surprisingly wonderful spot in an unassuming building. This is way more than a record store. Was one of my most fulfilling stops in the Music City. Sending a super shout out to Sofia. She is a wealth of musical knowledge and a great conversationalist. Make sure you allow time to enjoy this relatively small space. Every turn brings a new find. The staff is attentive and helpful. Hopefully, I will be able to catch a show in The Blue Room in the future. Definitely a must visit while in Nashville. BTW, owned by Jack.
