The Rat Hole

This place is a real gem. So many rare items in this place. The employees are really sweet. My husband and I were waiting for a table at a restaurant nearby. We saw the neon "open" sign and "rathole". It got us curious to know what it was, so we googled it. It said that it was closed so we called and the staff was really understanding and allowed us to come in and browse, even though it was passed their hours of operation! We looked around, they answered all our questions and they seemed as if they didn't mind at all. We recommend it to all that love music and collecting older forms of media. This place is chill and we'll definitely be returning.

This place is a bin divers dream. I bought a handful of new records today and the owner, I think his name is Chris, gave me a nice deal on his used inventory. That led me to spend an hour going through the bins I was interested in. So much inventory and the owner and staff are as gracious as if I were at a five star restaurant. I will be back next time I’m in town from Pismo.

I took my 16-year-old son to rat hole records and he really had a good time. There was a lot of variety of t-shirts, albums, stickers and buttons, posters. All kinds of cool stuff. They're very friendly here. Has a good vibe

Such an amazing record shop! The staff were super friendly and helpful. There’s so many vinyl laying around to dig through that were budget friendly, making it a real crate diggers dream. I scored on a copy of Revolver (my favorite Beatles album) for just $8.88 & Out of step for 20$. I will be back soon! —-☆ P.s Revolver sounds great 🐀

I’ve come here plenty of times, and it’s always a pleasant experience. You will always find something you’re looking for here, and Chris is always able to strike a deal for you! 33’s, 45’s, cassettes, cds, tshirts, posters, stickers, buttons, equipment, they got it ALL. I came in for a turntable with a budget, and walked out of there with a bitchin Philips 877, and 3 records for under my budget🤑 Do not stray from here!!! Will be taking some extra records from my collection here as well, so feel free to bring any unwanted records and such (if they’re in good condition).
