Nostalgia, what else can I say? The wealth and history in this record shop is unbelievable. Luis is the owner of Steady Beat Records and a major mover in the L.A. Ska Rocksteady n Reggae scene in the early 90's and till this day. If you know what I'm talking about, then stop by and say hi. Support this wonderful record shop.

Clean and well organized large collection. Lots of diversity and fair prices! Discount bins of vinyl, new vinyl, CD’s, cassettes and VHS tapes to dig through. Found some legit techno, deep soul, classic hip hop, sub genres of Latin, along with iconic jazz in store. No drinks allowed but can leave it outside on a small table. 🙂 Cool place to dig at! Street metered parking available. Will definitely be back with more time in mind!

I stumbled upon Steady Beat and was delighted. Luis sold me a great and affordable record player. He explained what else to get to set it up. I've been back again to peruse the selection of records. I found a few gems. The Latino section as well as others were great, Luis recommended a few great picks. The bargain records were a bonus. Every record I've bought is in fair to good condition.
