Amoeba Music - Hollywood

Amoeba Music is an absolute classic and still one of the best record stores around. Huge selection across vinyl, CDs, movies, and merch—you can easily lose an hour just browsing. Staff is knowledgeable and the vibe is exactly what you’d hope for from an iconic music spot. Only reason for four stars instead of five is that some used vinyl prices felt a bit high compared to other shops, and it can get pretty busy at peak times. That said, the selection and atmosphere more than make up for it. If you love music and physical media, this place is still a must-visit.

Amazing selection of DVDs and Blu rays which is what I was there for. Organized by director, category, collection! Plenty of 4K UHD as well! Reasonable prices with more rare items being a bit pricier.

Amazing heaven like spot. The staff know exactly what and where whatever it is that youre looking for…. I copped the vinyl i had been looking for for years here. Also such good variety of merch and fun gifts and a photobooth. Pleasant experience!
