Sound Platters

We stopped into Sound Platters on our way through LA yesterday. We found the store easily and there was a good selection of street parking right out front of the store! Inside we found a great selection of both new and used records as well as some used cds. There was a turntable set up upstairs to listen to the records. Prices were reasonable, unlike some other places we have visited. The owner is a cool guy!!!! Overall a very worthwhile visit!!!

Great place. Great used section. Legitimately the best record store on the west side. I don’t want to tell people about this place because I want it to myself, but this place deserves a good review.

Really great small record shop. Something for everyone but as a fan of alt rock genres, punk, ska, hardcore, their selection is fantastic.

My sons and I stopped in here when they first opened. The owner was really nice and ended up buying some vinyl from my son for a decent price. They have a nice selection of new punk and metal records at your normal market rates. They seemed to be working on getting some used vinyl in the store (as they were just recently opened the shop). Worth a visit and good to support a local store.

Great store with a decent vinyl selection. Wild assortment in the used upstairs section. Didn’t use the listening station but that was a cool option.
