I am not from the area but I decided to go visit this weekend because they are the closest store that carries reverend guitars and basses. I found what I was interested in right away and Riley stepped up and helped me get the instruments down, a stand to help me decide between the 2, a stool and a cable to plug. The store let me decide without much interference at all, which was excellent. They checked in on me occasionally especially when I was just staring at the instruments deeply and no longer playing. Everyone was very pleasant, the store was clean, they had a nice selection, and the transaction was as smooth as possible. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and I am thoroughly enjoying my new bass too!

I am pleased to express my genuine admiration for Rock City, its owner, and the staff, who collectively create a warm and welcoming environment, promptly attending to visitors' needs and inquiries with exceptional professionalism. Whether you are looking to purchase an instrument, enroll in music lessons, or acquire equipment, Rock City has everything you need. My personal favorite items to browse are new and used vinyl albums. If they do not have a particular item in stock, they will do their utmost to find it for you. Nick assisted me in finding the perfect guitar as a gift for my wife, and I am overjoyed to report that she was ecstatic and continues to love her instrument. You cannot go wrong with Rock City. I highly recommend stopping by and telling Nick that "Jetson sent me!"

One of my regular spots to head over an pick up some new vinyl. They post their new additions on social media, and that gives me the heads up on whether they will have what I am looking for when I make my way over there. Record Store Day and the artist meet and greet events they hold there have been very well ran the last few years as well, and I look forward to seeing who they will have show up and spend time with everyone at the shop next. Everyone is very friendly and eager to assist you with anything you need. Last time, Lauren knew exactly where the vinyl I came in for was located and made everything really efficient and effortless for my trip.

We absolutely love my son’s drum lessons here! The instructors are fantastic—so patient and talented—and my son looks forward to every session. The whole place has such a positive, welcoming vibe. I also have to give a special shout-out to Lauren —she’s always so friendly, organized, and helpful. She makes scheduling and planning a breeze and always greets us with a smile. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great music program and outstanding staff!

There's so much to love about Rock City Music. I'll start with their love of all music. You know that old stereotype of music store employees who think they're better than you or don't want to talk to certain types of customers? Everyone at Rock City Music Company disproves that stereotype all day every day. This is THE place to go if you love music no matter who you are or what type of music you love. No matter what type of music or instrument you're looking to buy, they want to talk to you about it. The pictures attached to my review are a very small sampling of albums I've bought from them. The diversity probably speaks for itself but I'll make it clear for those who might miss it: Prince, Black Sabbath, Michael Jackson, Billie Eilish, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Bumblefoot, Bill Withers, Richie Sambora, ABBA and Sam Cooke. You know what these artists have in common? Almost nothing except two things: I love all of them and I was able to have awesome, I depth conversations with Rock City Music Company employees about them. Like the King of Pop sang "if you're thinking of being my brother it don't matter if you're black or white". I think this is the best review / endorsement I can give them: I lived within minutes of them for years so I had the pleasure of walking into the store every week if I wanted to. 3 years ago I moved 1000 miles south and they're STILL my record store. The city I live in now has decent record stores and really good record fairs but Rock City Music Company has the people that care about music and their customers at a level that makes me loyal for life. I call to order from them every few weeks, if not once a month. If they don't have what I'm looking for, they get it quickly, contact me and get it on the way to me. Here's my advice: stop in at Rock City Music Company. Start a conversation with anyone working there about any type of music and find out what I'm talking about.
