Good selection for both CDs and DVDs, including a few games here and there. Staff is normal, not super nice or anything but they aren’t disrespectful in any way either.
Old school record store with a good mix of new and used vinyl, well curated across multiple genres. Contrary to some of the reviews, I didn't find the staff to be rude at all, they simply let you dig and flip in peace. The vintage vinyl was priced reasonably and graded conservatively. Overall a great vibe and experience.
After finding some hidden gems at the N Milwaukee Ave location, I couldn’t resist checking out what the other Reckless Records store had to offer. I figured lightning couldn’t strike twice at the W Belmont Ave location—but I was wrong. This spot was just as impressive. It was clean, well-organized, and offered an extensive selection of music. As soon as I walked in, my eyes landed on it: Kloud - Autonomy, displayed on the wall of rare and hard-to-find vinyl's. Without hesitation, I grabbed it, knowing it was a must-have for my collection. Sure enough, lightning struck twice. The staff was friendly, helpful, and ready to assist with anything I needed. After buying a handful of records at both locations, I can confidently say Reckless Records is the best in the area. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip to Chicago!
A cute record store with a large selection of great albums and music merch. I came to trade in some records and pick up a limited signed copy of BRAT they had. The trade in value was fair and I was happy with it. It’s also really neat they were able to get limited signed pressings of Charli’s new album, it was the only record store i saw around town who had them. I ended up leaving with BRAT and a copy of the Strokes “Is this it”. The prices are pretty on par with other record stores too. Id definitely shop again here!
I was super happy to find this branch of Reckless Records after being disappointed in their downtown outpost. An excellent selection of used vinyl and heaps of bargain boxes to spend time digging through. Found lots of great records here and it was well worth the trip. They also have T-shirts, CDs, tapes, and other paraphernalia.
