North Street Records

North Street Records is awesome. They have a great selection of music, both new and used. Everything is high quality and all new LPs are excellent. The owners and the guys who work there are fantastic—very helpful and they know music inside-out. Central Illinois is fortunate to have such a unique, great store. I always look forward to going.

In town visiting and this was a great place to stop and explore. They clearly know their regulars and the locals who visit often. After I had a few records in my had they directed me to where there might be more I would enjoy. Go visit them!

Great experience! The owner was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about music. The selection was fantastic, with lots of new and used vinyl across a wide variety of genres. Prices were fair, and it was easy to find some hidden gems. Highly recommend stopping by if you're a vinyl lover or just exploring!

I love this place. I especially love the used selection, and they carry cd, tapes, and vinyl. It's a real record store ran by a real music fan. I like a lot of music, but all kinds of extreme metal is my favorite. And the first time I went there, he had one little box of metal, not much at all. Fast forward to about two years later and his metal used cd section gets bigger every time I go there. And I never leave empty handed, and have actually found some really good gems there. The prices really depend on the item. Most used stuff is $7-$8, but there been a few I've bought that were $12-$14. Which I thought was a little high, but no biggie. I will continue to go back. He's been good to my dad, me, and my son. There's another guy that has been there the past two time I've been there, and he's totally cool and laid back.

Spent the day in town for the Cody Jinks concert. Im always on the lookout for small vinyl shops when we travel. Usually have the best luck in college towns. This was the second stop and is by far better than the place a few shops down the block. Some of the best 1st/2nd pressing vinyl Ive seen in one place in years! Bought a literal stack today! Made a new friend Bob who works there and was awesome to work with! I will be back!
