Very chill place with huge selection of not only vinyl, but pokemon cards, dvds, Blu-ray, VHS, collectables, etc and you can buy sell or trade/credit. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, all around great setup and vibe. I went into to sell a record and got a fair price and was able to haggle a little, which was great. Some places offer you 2$ and you say can you do 5$ and they say no lol, here I felt like I actually was a customer who they wanted to come back to buy or sell in the future. I couldn't be happier, this will be my go to spot from now on. The second I walked in, they asked if I needed help, not like some places who you can't even tell who works there or not, while you roam around. The lighting and vibe is great, it reminded me of a small mom and pop store, but will more selection and it awesome they buy and sell everything, not just vinyls. Places like this are a rare find, I wish I worked there lol. You won't be disappointed, definitely check them out, they are in the heart of Hollywood, walkable from the metro, off Hollywood and Wilcox right on the corner in a nice populated area. Sorry for the manic rant, but I love this place and can't wait to come back. This is how record stores should be. 10 stars
This place is always a mess. The front counter always has way too much stuff. They need to get shelves. They need to sweep that place. They need to make sure things aren’t falling over and that their clothing area is picked up from the floor. I walk by there every day and it’s always a mess. Just waiting for a lawsuit to happen I just don’t understand Most of those employees just stay on their phone 24 seven. The sad part is, I had already spoke to the owner about bringing in some items I had for sale and he said his employees were trained by the second time I got there I still walked for nothing because the employee couldn’t even help me or speak English. 🤔 yes I went in the 3rd time an they helped 3xs a charm however it’s just super frustrating to have to deal with those types of issues 😔
They've got rad tapes, VHS, CDs, records, DVDs, old magazines, old concert stubs and more! Definitely swing by!
Haven't been lucky enough to visit the physical store, but I've bought from them online for INTL shipping and it was a 10/10 experience, amazing records, even better than described, and some really cool hidden gems can be found at Nivessa. I'll definetely visit them the next time I'm in LA. Thanks for everything!
The place was open after 9pm, which I loved. But there's no system to its catalog/inventory that makes it impossible to find anything. And even though the cashier was sweet and amicable, she couldn't tell me if they had a specific album for sale. The book section was abismal, dirty, and chaotic. There were random boxes overflowing with stuff laying around and the place looked like it needed dusting. I love indie record stores that feel like a place where music is cherished. This store doesn't have that vibe.
