Lucky Cat Records

Stumbled upon this place completely by chance while shopping nearby and could not be happier. We got to meet the owner, chat about her journey, and hear her musical inspirations. You can tell that her passion is baked into the place. And her selection really has something for everyone! For me, this is a must-see spot every time I am back in Minneapolis.

Found this store when I was visiting an old friend. Lots of good vinyls & stickers. Michele is really sweet! She noticed my cavern club hat and shared interesting stories. Will def visit again when I’m in MN

I was steered here as a fan of The Replacements - my fave band. This store is tied to their history and a must see for fans of the band. The owner Michelle has shrines to the band around the store, as well as other local acts. She was very generous of her time and made my visit so much better. Cannot recommend Lucky Cat Records strongly enough!

Just had a wonderful experience here. There is a lot of care evident in the selection, organization, and presentation of records for sale. The selection is eclectic and playful, heavy on local artists, rock, folk, jangle pop, and Minneapolis sound. Huge range in pricing, from bargain bin stuff to rare and collectible pressings. Easy to browse and not at all cramped, certainly for a record store. Very happy with my purchases and will return.

So glad I stumbled upon this place. Vinyl records, film processing, a reel to reel player and great tasting coffee is the perfect combination. We enjoyed browsing for records while enjoying a great Americano.
