I don't usually write online reviews for places, but my experience here was exceptional. Elizabeth was helpful and very clearly passionate about music and sharing her knowledge. That is all. Check out this store. Five stars

I visited Lefty’s Records recently and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience. The owner, who was working that day, is clearly passionate about music—an admirable quality—but her opinions were delivered in a way that felt unnecessarily harsh and judgmental. During our visit, she made some very pointed remarks about people who didn’t grow up buying records, suggesting that their families must have had skewed priorities if they spent money on food or essentials instead of vinyl. It was surprising and off-putting to hear someone make such sweeping and belittling comments about others’ upbringings and values—especially in a space that offers such an eclectic mix of music. One would hope for a more open-minded atmosphere where different life experiences are respected. Beyond that, the shop didn’t impress in other areas either. The prices were higher than expected, and the store had an unpleasant odor that made it hard to enjoy browsing. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend a stop at Lefty’s. There are plenty of other places to find great music without the side of judgment.

I have stopped into Lefty’s several times and have always left with some great artists at great prices. Lots of variety in the new arrivals section - loaded with old Rolling Stones records today! The store is well organized and fun to shop. Elizabeth, is super welcoming and truly loves vinyl. Lots of great records to be found for
