My girlfriend and I went to this record store get some records for her sister, and my girlfriend was asked to leave her bag at the front. We were ok with this in the beginning because it made sense since she had a large bag. But then we walked around and saw other people had similar sized bags. My girlfriend who is Latina was the only one asked to leave her bag. Which feels racially motivated. I hope the owner does something to make sure that this doesn’t happen to another person. As we will not be shopping here again. Please do better.

I wouldn’t recommend this store to minorities or anybody who supports minorities. As soon as I walked into the store I was not greeted instead was told to leave my bag with the staff. I’m aware there is a check in bag policy which I respect and understand but there were many customers in store with bags as big as mine and some even bigger. Please do better. I did not feel welcomed at all.

Excellent selection of Chicago and Detroit house. This place is a true specialist in these genres. They also have a very solid trip hop section to pick through. The stock here is definitely my bread and butter - ideal for someone who loves true house vinyl but doesn't want to pick through piles of trash. Excellent curation.

Amazing record store! You know they're serious just by the fact that they have many listening stations with Technics (various models of 1200's 👍), headphones, and a put back rack on the side. Amazing selection of used and new dance music, along with other genres of course. It was also insanely cool to run into one of my favorite DJ's (Honey Dijon) before she played at ARC festival 2025. She was just digging and listening like the rest of us vinyl junkies... so cool! Will definitely be back when I'm in Chicago!

Great old school, independent record shop. Focus is on House and DJs but they have enough other stock to spend a couple hours of fun digging. I found some great blues and jazz records with the vinyl is excellent condition for reasonable prices. The employee with whom o chatted was very cool and amiable. Definitely recommend stopping in if you’re in that neighborhood and worth the short walk up from downtown.
