Went in thinking a cool new shop in the neighborhood, upon going in to the empty store unfortunately had a similar experience as a lot of others. Staff was rude, didn’t attempt to help, kept mean mugging us.
Unfortunately had the same experience as many of the people here - staff was really rude and sneered at us, made me and my friend feel super unwelcome (which is unfortunate because she loves records).
Great selection of records. The owner and staff are super friendly. Prices are fair. Love an old school record store and I hope Bridgeport Records sticks around for a long time!
Been very very very excited to go into this place but when it was finally opened cuz the times are whacky, I walked in, the person behind the counter didn’t acknowledge me at all so I took my wife and got out of there. Doesn’t take long to acknowledge a person that walks into your empty store and look up from your phone. I don’t see this place staying open very long which is sad because I was ready to spend money on records.
when we went in, we were searching through the indie vinyls and we set our eyes on a few radiohead records. they were VERY expensive but we didn’t mind. we then decided to check out amazon on our own phones to see the price difference, and we noticed that some of the records were priced almost two times the amount that they were on amazon. immediately, the person working gave us a terrible attitude and rudely told us that we were “not allowed to price check”. we did not make any rude remarks, we were simply on our phones but the person gave us a terrible attitude. i do not see how this is something that could be claimed, as simply checking the price of something online is not a crime at all, and the store is just insecure of their astronomically high pricing.
