Workers are judgmental and plus the album I got skipped I exchanged it and same thing still happens and blamed my record player when I just got it brand new out the box 54 dollars down the drain
I found every Tyler album here and a lot of music I like, I didn’t buy anything, it was a bit expensive tho, Would recommend but can be a bit out of stock on some things
The place is interesting to look at but the records here are definitely overpriced I found a record that I was really interested in buying but it was $55 before I was going to buy it I did look it up on Amazon for the exact same record vinyl and it was $38 on there so definitely walked out of that store quick so I can take my business out of there and never again would I buy records from there if they're going to be overpriced.
Rudest lady with red hair works here. Don’t ask the staff any questions… apparently that warrants getting looked at like you’re a nuisance. Way better record stores around the dfw anyways.
Staff seemed nice enough, but the selection is mediocre and the prices are way too high. Almost every CD costs around $30-$40. I get inflation has been brutal, but I feel these costs were set this high to take advantage of people who don't know the current rates of CDs. $35 for a rare Japanese import or a limited edition album? Fair price. But almost everything there is priced that high. Name any other record shop in DFW, CD Warehouse or Doc's or Forever Young , etc etc and they'll sell you stuff at a fair price. That leads me to my second point. The selection is painfully mediocre. If you want a good frame of reference, it's just slightly a better selection than the Barnes and Nobel that you're likely walking through to get there in the first place. And I get it, smaller store. There's less space to store the more niche genres so you stock stuff that is more likely to be bought. However, if I wanted to buy GNX or The Divine Feminine or the latest Chappel Roan album, I bet you I could find it in the B&N CD section for way cheaper. That being said, I only collect CDs so ymmv in terms of the price of vinyl. The vinyl selection is marginally better than the CDs, but not by much. You still won't find anything mind blowing. Overall, from my perspective I see no reason to shop at ZT Records in Parks Mall. If you are looking for any rare gems or niche albums, you'll have better luck at Half Priced Books. If you don't care about niche genres and only really listen to mainstream artists, I assure you you'll be able to find the same type of music for much cheaper literally anywhere else.
