I like music. I like wine. And I like bars. This place hits the trifecta with all those things in its name -- Vinyl Wine Bar! The owner Chamaine takes pride in her wine selections, and it shows. The wine flights are my favorite, allowing me to find something new and exciting to taste. Alameda's got a keeper here!
Great experience and hospitality. Definitely going back. Special guest Brenae (Violets in Paradise and Boykin wines were a hit)
good wine selection and an attentive and knowledgeable staff. the vibes on this place are super chill and the tunes are excellent. food selection is limited to snacks but you can bring in food from outside and there's usually a food truck outside.
This cool, chill vibe wine bar is such a welcome addition to this otherwise beery neighborhood. The live DJ was spinning mellow, feel-good tunes for a sunny Sunday afternoon. The champagne and caviar special that lured me in turned out to be a little spendy for my budget but there was a great selection of other satisfying dry sparkling wines to choose from as an alternative. This place made me happy. I look forward to returning soon.
Agreed, Vinyl is a much needed addition to Alameda and I’m really glad it’s here. We went on a Thursday night around 8pm and had a nice time. The two people behind the bar were super friendly, though they didn’t seem totally confident with the menu and a few of the wines they mentioned weren’t listed. The wines we did try were great, and the overall selection seems strong. We were starving and didn’t realize the food menu is VERY limited. They were out of the olives and the cheese plate, so we ended up grabbing takeout from Saltbreaker. It worked out fine, but I wish there were a few more food options available. The vibe of the bar is good, but I think it could feel better with some small changes. From our seats we could see the lineup of trashcans, mops, gloves and other cleaning supplies, which distracted from the atmosphere. That said, I’ll definitely be back. I’m rooting for this spot because it really does have the potential to become a fantastic go to wine bar in Alameda.
