Could use a boost in customer service. I always get the impression that I’m disturbing the man’s doom scrolling. Riverbend records is far more welcoming and prices are more reasonable. If you want to go here it’s fine for what it is but I’d rather drive the extra distance for a better vibe.

Went in over the Black Friday weekend. Guy behind the counter was rude from the moment we walked in. After looking around for a few minutes and noticing the prices were higher than all the other places we normally go, plus the rude attitude, we decided there was zero chance of us spending any money there. Stay away from places that admittedly hike their prices compared to other places in the vicinity and are rude to their customers. Just peruse the business responses to people who have left negative reviews and you'll get a feel for what he is all about. Should have checked the reviews before going, but now we know better and hope to keep people from making the same mistake we did. At least the review/comment section made for a fun read.

Went into trusty chords today to look at some Radiohead vinyls as I have a collection and am only missing Pablo honey. I asked if he would negotiate because he was asking 46 dollars for that terrible album! He got super offended and was completely rude to me, something riverbend records would never do… then I asked if he would price match and he has the audacity to kick me out. Nobody is paying you that much money for a horrible record in a horrible record store. That place sucks! I’ve heard something of a cyber war may even go down there so I would never go to this terrible record shop. Thanks so much for the feedback Chud! After reviewing your response I would just like to let you know how much of a plague you are to the small business space! Hope this helps! Mason

Went in there to see if I could find any records because I recently got a record player mid way through finding records I heard the owner screaming at a guy cussing him out and kicked him out of the store because he asked if there were any discounts( the store was asking almost $50 for Pablo honey). I then went to use the bathroom as soon as I got in there the owner came over and tried to pull the door down. After I came out he kicked me out without me being able to by the records I was looking for will not be going back I will go to riverbend records before I go back there. A cyber war is incoming. Update do you see what I mean about the owner of the shop. Had all night to respond and decided to be harsh and meanspirited this is not an owner that you want to even have a conversation with. Completely unacceptable and a disgrace to the small business community. Also the chain is silver and my parents are dead so thank you for being insensitive. Jerk

I stopped by this shop hoping to support a local business and maybe pick up a used vinyl or two. I found two I was interested in, but honestly, I didn’t agree with the price of one—it seemed a bit steep comparative to Discogs’ median price and the condition of the record. I politely asked for a price I thought was more reasonable, which I’ve done at many similar shops without issue. Instead of a simple “no,” I was met with a rude and condescending response about how asking for a discount is “tacky” and “disrespectful.” I would like to say I never did ask for a discount, I asked for a different price as I did not agree with the original. I totally respect a business’s right to set firm prices, but there’s a way to communicate that without trying to shame a customer.
