Prices are absurdly, ridiculously high & the owner is an aloof, jerky ripoff artist. You can easily find any record sold here for $30 at 1/4th the price at Princeton in the same condition. Only shop here if you enjoy wasting your money.
This is a great used-record/CD store that has an amazing selection of LP records and music CDs. I first stopped by back in 2010-11, and this small business has flourished! I highly recommend stopping by to browse the variety of music they offer, which will take you back in time to the 60s/70s/80s. John & Sue treated me like royalty and you must stop by this unpolished gem in southern Jersey!
I love record stores, and The Record Collector has been a favorite haunt of mine for decades. Pleasant staff, lots of albums and memorabilia, and good prices. I went to a bunch of in-store concerts over the years. These events were awesome and always a blast. Plus they showcased everyone like The Monkees' Peter Tork, Men Without Hats, Peelander-Z, Lisa Bouchelle, Bravo Utah, and Kelly Carvin. They even had Billy West (Futurama) make an appearance and Raymond the Amish Comic do a set.
Great building!! Great record store. Lots of collectibles - action figures, KISS stuff, Beatles memorabilia. Some really good deals.
This is really nice little store. Pretty much everything here is older music, you won’t really find new music here. That being said I still had a great time and found stuff I liked even as a younger person. Prices seemed a little bit on the higher end. The gentleman that helped me with checking out was polite. If you’re into old music I’d definitely recommend giving this spot a visit, they had a lot of big names and it won’t take too long to search through everything they have.
