Skylight guitars is the real deal. Everything in the store is top quality, professionally set up, and truly ready to play the moment you pick it up. If you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, there’s genuinely something here for everyone. I’ve never seen a local guitar store in Bakersfield carry this many Custom Shop Gibson and Fender guitars under one roof. It’s seriously impressive. What really sets this place apart is the staff. Every person working here knows their gear inside and out, and that kind of knowledge only comes from a lifetime of being immersed in music and equipment. You can tell they aren’t just selling guitars, they live this stuff and actually care about helping you find the right instrument. They also go above and beyond by accepting trade ins, offering consignment options, and taking that extra step to make customers happy. It’s rare to find a shop that combines high end inventory with genuine, no pressure customer service like this. On top of all that, the shop has a great environment, an awesome vibe, and just feels cool to be in. This is the kind of place you want to hang out, talk gear, and get inspired. Easily one of the best guitar shops around. Highly recommended.

I got this Gibson R9 Les Paul from Skylight Guitars!!! What an awesome guitar!!! I would like to thank Jon, Cody, and Luke for all their help. This is the best old fashioned guitar shop in Bakersfield and it’s not even close. I love this place!!! Just like the good ol’ days!! In all seriousness, if you need a Christmas gift from some really good people, this is the place!!!

Jon, Cody and Luke have all the kung fu. This place is like the 36th chamber of Guitars. They have set up a couple of my guitars and have a huge selection of pedals and some extremely unique guitars. Best shop in town hands down.
