Prob one of my favorite stores in Salem! Breaux who runs the place is a freaking delight and always knows what you’re holding in your hand, how it sounds, and judging by what else you’re holding in your hand…if you’ll like it or not. The “local shit” section is always fun and I’ve found some great artists in there that I’ve grown to follow. Also he’ll never judge you for asking “silly” or what seems like a “dumb” question. He’s not a snob trust me! If you’re a music lover most likely you’ll end up having an almost hour long conversation about crazy shit with him. He prob won’t admit it but he likes to nerd out about music. He’s also the drummer for a band Z28 and sells their albums there. Good shit! Should pick it up if you see it.
I stopped by here while friends were shopping next door and was instantly impressed on the organization of the shop, as well as the research put into each and every individual album. I've been to record shops all over Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, a few in Portland, and even more in my travels, but this was easily THE best. Speaking with the owner was a pleasure as well. I ended up buying a few albums then coming back later to pick another up for a friend. Definitely recommend for other vinyl lovers!
Came here on a trip to do some street photography and met Breaux with my friend Cory. We could talk to Breaux about music for hours. Highly knowledgeable. Just all around good fun. Really appreciated your time. My friend left with a Type O Negative compilation vinyl and I snagged a Sleep pin! 🤘🏻
We stopped by the store on our way to the Salem Witch Museum. A really great shop — the selection isn’t huge, but every record is a good one. When the seller found out we were flying overseas, he quickly wrapped the two records I bought professionally in cardboard! Would definitely come back!
Great record store with a nice collection of Vinyls, CDs and cassettes. The pricing is good for some and a bit high for some but overall most good used records hover around the 15-20$ mark. There were some Beatles albums at good prices but no way to know their condition as they seem to frown upon people opening records without asking. Understandable. Definitely worth a visit
