Great store! Games consoles and accessories you don’t see anywhere else, friendly and helpful staff, and lots of cool stereo equipment and musical instruments too.

I walked into Record Head and was immediately impressed. I spent over an hour just taking it all in—this place is truly an audiophile’s dream. The store is spacious and laid out in a way that allows for long, relaxed browsing without feeling crowded. The employees were all helpful and genuinely kind, without being pushy. The stereo equipment selection is excellent, and the record selection is massive. I ended up buying an awesome pair of bookshelf speakers at a very fair price and couldn’t be happier. Overall, just an outstanding experience.

I know this place is called Record Head, but I came here for the games, and I was not disappointed. They have a really good selection of games, I’d say it takes up 1/3rd of their floor space and they have games for every console from Atari 2600 to Switch 2, with of course plenty in between. Luckily none of it is inflated by like 8 copies of NHL 09 for the PS3, all the shovelware is largely kept to the bargan bin in the front. The prices are really, really good. I got a copy of time splitters, CIB, no scuffs or anything for $49, at the time of writing this, market value for it is $53. A copy of Saints Row 3 was pretty much on the dot for $7.99 and Super Mario Maker for the 3DS was $12. So yeah shopping here is surprisingly cheaper than EBay. The staff were just as polite and courteous, making sure I got the best copy of Time Splitters they had, with manual and a clean case and everything. And it’s clear they take good care of their stock, having most of it shrink wrapped so they don’t stick the stickers on the cases itself. This place was a very pleasant surprise for me to come across, and if I actually lived in Milwaukee this was definitely be my go to game store.

They have an amazing selection of records here, I find something new every time I come! They have stuff from all genres, new and vintage. They have a pretty large selection of rock and metal, and the prices are pretty fair and sometimes a bit under discogs pricing. Would definitely recommend to any vinyl lovers/collectors! ☮️

Seems like a great set up if you live in Milwaukee, but I am a little over an hour away in Waunakee and I'm an old metal head. Selection for metal was not overwhelming and bargin bins remind me of shopping at a thrift store. By the way generally have way better prices at Salvation Army or St. Vincent thrift shop's. Besides not having a great metal selection the store might be fine for rare jazz music finds or rock, pop and country. Very nice people if you are in milwaukee I would check it out but if you are looking for vynil and are into metal I would only go if I was within a half hour or so. My wife didn't like the drive into the city to look at me come home empty handed. Lol. Great store with a wide variety of music just not killing it for me because what I did find was 5 to 10 bucks more than I could find it for on the internet. I have trouble with the star rating you live near it would be a strong 4 to 4.5 rating but for us the drive is about an 1 and 10 minutes away so I have to stick with a three for me.
