Newbury Comics Portland ME

Their pokemon cards are being sold for double what the inflationary number is already. Prismatic Evolution packs from pokemon center are 5 bucks a pack. Scalpers are selling them for 10 bucks a pack and this store is selling them for 20 bucks a pack. If you want ripped off, this is the store for you. Unreal!

This place is GREAT! The staff is super pleasant and helpful and the merchandise is also attractive. Loving the fact they added sports cards! What else is in stock, always?? Humor! Where else can you get hot items like these socks?!

I love this store and their service is actually pretty good but the reason for the low score is thier prices and their corprate policy on not stocking any back catalog of comic i mean seriously your a store with comic in your name and you one sell the current issues? And thier prices are crazy! Way above MSRP or market...but if your rich or just have cash to burn or that 50$ hoodie your daughter has been looking for they are awesome...

A couple months back I visited after being in an accident & realized I was bleeding. One of the staff members grabbed a couple bandaids & a paper towel so I could clean up. Plus, all those comic books. 🤣

4.5 stars, almost perfect, but every time I go to this location is something has gone wrong. Every time I go here, there has been something small that has gone wrong. Once the store employee that got angry with me for no reason, there was another time when I got ignored after asking a question there was another time were the price on the sale literally next door was better. Other than all of that the store is incredible, i would suggest it as a must go for anyone with nerdy/geeky needs.
