Music Go Round - Atlanta/Duluth, GA

I don't know what to say about this place anymore. I once thought I found a gem of a store but I no longer feel that way. I have witnessed some used prices for equal or more then the new price on some of the guitars. I have mentioned it to the staff and the response has been the same both times from 2 different staff, "That's a mistake, someone new must have purchased that." Never an offer to fix the price or adjust it, just a nonchalant response and then...moving on. So Musicians Friend has gotten the sale for brand new guitars for less then thier used twice from me. I don't know who the staff is that has tried to help me 2 different times, but the dude seems either forgetful or high both times. I was trying out a guitar that had passive pickups and it didn't work. He tells me the battery must have gone dead, took it out of my hand and to the back of the store it went. He came back no more then 3 minutes later and didn't seem to remember what just transpired as he goes on to ask if anyone was helping me. Yeah I left the store. There are some great deals to be had if you know your gear. You can find some decent instruments. Let me say that just one more time. Know you gear. I first came to Music Go Round about a year ago and left a five star review. Unfortunately I have had to lower my review do to less then 5 star service. 3 out of 11 guitars I have purchased in the last year have come from this store, it could have been more. I wanted it to be more. I will re-evaluate this review in another. I really do hope I can give back stars because I can tell the staff are musicians and music lovers.

Very friendly staff. Very helpful. A large inventory of used equipment. My brother and I purchased a used acoustic (fantastic playability) and a 16 channel mixer. If you are in the area and you want reasonably priced gear I would highly recommend these folks! A+ experience. Thanks to everyone at the store!!!

This store is a joke the EMPLOYEES useless all are a bunch of unprofessional CLOWNS. I bought and paid for a Peavey Mace VT head on line because a employee told me to do it that way I wanted to do it over the phone when we were speaking but he said to do it on line that’s the best way as it will be marked sold and pulled of the store shelf. So I did and I had a receipt to prove it!!! The next day I get a email saying that due to being busy they never marked my purchase sold and an employee in the store sold it to someone else and refunded my money. I didn’t want a refund. It’s virtually impossible to find one of these amps and if you can they are extremely expensive and hard to find. What they did is illegal and fraudulent!!!!! I will be seeking further legal action against this company and its employees!!!! I can’t speak for there other stores but this one is not legit.This situation is a breach of contract by this store as they sold that already belonged to me. I have the receipt in hand!!!I received a email from a manager that said he knows how I feel because he has lost gear also. I could care less about his story. ! One very angry first time customer and never will be again. I even gave them the opportunity to make it right but not even a response! STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS STORE. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF FRAUDS AND PHONY’S

This place has helped me get all the necessary equipment for my drumset for a deal! Not to mention I came in yesterday with a broken stool I was given (past the 7 day return), and they gave me a brand new stool that was slightly more expensive FOR FREE. These are genuine people that are for the people, and for local musicians. Please give this place a shot, they have great prices and great people.

Had a really good experience buying a clarinet. Josiah was very helpful, thorough and friendly. I’m grateful because with the clarinet they sold us my son was able to get into jazz band and was chosen to try out for honors band as well. I saved a ton of money and got a great instrument. We’ll definitely be back!
