Fantastic store, great selection, great location, very helpful staff. Knowledgeable and eager to make sure you find what you're looking for. Parking is plentiful and easy. One of the few record stores in the broader area with decent classical, jazz and 45's sections. Prices are good and Wheaton is great for a little suburban exploring and lunch afterward.
Strange experience. No customers. Turned away our albums of trade for somewhat vague reasons. Not sure the employee knows enough about music and made a couple of strange comments about our albums. Gave a quick look at the albums to purchase and not sure I saw anything of interest. Recipe for a short lived business.
Solid place! Found the Seven Mary Three album limited to 1000 copies here. Had it on order with Amazon not expected to ship for another month or so. And they had it cheaper!!!!!!
Owner was awesome. Just getting into the hobby and his advice was helpful, straightforward, and honest. Recommended a good player in his estimation, didn't try and upsell a super expensive item. Walked me through all the functions and how to set it up properly. Not gonna lie, I was super intimidated. I felt like I was walking onto the set of High Fidelity with folks hanging out by the bar the register was on, talking music. Store was packed. Worried I'd be judged based on the albums I bought... Nothing could be further from the truth. All the dudes were awesome. I love this store now. To the owner (sorry, forgot your name, I brought in the Del album and bought the LP120), you've done a great job making your store really welcoming and making even newbies like myself feel comfortable. Easy 5 star. A gem. Update 5/2024. The guy told me all used records are mixed in the middle regardless of genre or release date. Outside section is new plastic.
Very cool space. Tons of records, really friendly atmosphere. We felt truly invited to shuffle around the records of the ship. Spent over an hour looking around, and left with too many records. Was a very nice trip.
