Philip was really nice and helpful showing us around the store and helping us out finding what we were looking.. he even thought us stuff we didn’t know, great guy and also brandon! special thanks to him too!! best music store i will for sure be coming back from san jose..

I really want to support local music stores over big box retailers or online sellers, and as a local, experienced musician I generally try to start local first. Unfortunately, my recent experience at Langlois Music Co was disappointing due to their outdated return policy. In today’s market, where most reputable music retailers offer reasonable return or exchange options, their no refunds (or exchange) policy makes it difficult to justify purchasing gear here. I bought some speaker cables that turned out to not be an option for me. I hadn’t even used them and they still wouldn’t let me return or offer to exchange them or even store credit. Very odd. The staff was courteous, but policies matter, and this one ultimately pushes me away from advocating local in this case. I’m sharing this so other musicians are aware before making a purchase. I hope the store modernizes this policy in the future, because I’d prefer to support a local shop rather than a big box store or online retailer.

After scouring stores in Bay Area this store and service outshone them all. Brandon filled in the gaps of our knowledge and found us a instrument which had a beautiful tone and quality for a reasonable price. Langlois Music store is a fantastic place to get a new instrument such as violins, guitars, and many more.

Awesome experience here -- we went to 4 other music shops without success. Not only did they have the perfect new violin at a reasonable price, but the help, advice and explanations we received were on point. We purchased the violin and were treated to excellent steps on care and play in a very clear and helpful terms to our 12-yr old granddaughter.

Very clean and well kept musical instrument store. On McHenry Ave near Briggsmore. Decent parking and a very safe lot. Very nice piano selection, although I didn't see a lot of brass instruments. Lots of accessories for guitar and wind instruments. The gentleman working that day was polite and helpful. Mostly Ibanez acoustics with a few electric guitars. Lots of ukuleles to choose from.
