I happen to come across this store while being in town on a business trip. Described my issue of low volume coming from the record player to receiver and the owner knew exactly what the issue was to balance things out. When I got home and plugged in the device sold to me everything was perfect. Here's the thing, I wasn't planning on stopping in to resolve an issue but out of the blue this amazing owner was able to help me with a simple question. Bravo! I cannot recommend his business and service enough!

I recently brought in my original Krell KSA 100 amp for a check up to look at bias, dc offset, etc., and to see if anything needed replacement internally. Service was fast and professional. The amp came back sounding better than the day it was new! And his tech was honest. No parts needed replacement, only minor Bias adjustments and such. Those “minor” adjustments made a world of difference. It’s getting harder to find competent technicians to work on truly high-end vintage equipment, but I’ve found a diamond in the rough. I got a vintage turn table from an estate sale. Mark helped me not only understand what I had but how to maximize my experience without breaking the bank. He was so nice and helpful. Fixed the player to like new and was great the whole way. Even after when I had questions he was still patient and super kind. Can’t go wrong visiting the shop.

I was visiting Rochester from out of town and the Hi Fi Lounge was recommended to me as a great place to look for a turntable. The place had so many great records and components! Mark was very helpful in helping me find a record player that fit my needs (first time buying one in over 30 years) and my budget. He even put a brand-new stylus on it to assure I had the best possible experience. Once I got it back home, I had questions on how to operate it and called the store. Mark was very patient, kind and compassionate in assisting me. I’ve now got the turntable connected to my home system and couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend Hi Fi Lounge to anyone who needs a component or a cool record or three. I will definitely drive the two-hours back the next time I’m shopping for components or want to find a record for my collection.
