Hendershot's

Great study/coffee spot during the day and great music venue at night. Staff has always been friendly and the owner, Seth, is a freaking maniac on the drums. I would definitely recommend going to their music events - especially their open mic nights for musicians looking for a chill atmosphere to perform :)

We came to Athens and Hendershots to hear some love music. We were the in the afternoon. There is a nice university vibe in the area. Drinks were reasonable and service was friendly and efficient. I didn’t realize they served food. The venue for live music is excellent with a combination of tables and a nice couch area to listen to the artists. Definitely deserves a night visit next time we are in Athens.

Hendershot’s is the best! It’s my favorite place to perform, and my fave place to see shows/comedy. The sound system is great, the staff is always heroically sweet, and the owners are national treasures. Great coffee and fun seasonal cocktails!

Laid back, hipster vibe. Quiet enough in the day time to have a meeting or to work/study. The bottle works parking is limited with with 2hour limits, but you can continue to pay for more time. I go here often.

I am a fan of chargrilled oysters and they only serve raw. The server explained how all prepared raw oyster dishes are not served equally. I decided to give it a try. I absolutely loved them. My girls and I had shrimp & grits and fried rice. Absolutely loved! Note: The Shrimp and Grits portion is a small portion size.
