DISCLAIMER: Most importantly, right up front, this is NOT your typical record/music shop. If that's what you're looking for, you will not find that here. I very much enjoyed Habersham's for it's uniqueness and character. I believe that my experience was and will be uniquely my own. The LPs, CDs and 45s are quite unorganized and difficult to go through or even get to some of them. Most of the LPs are just stacked up on the floor, so you can't just flip through them. The owner seems to have a general idea of what's where in terms of some genres, and if you're looking for something specific then she might be able to help. But believe me, this is NOT your "normal" record store, and that's for certain. The owner is a sweet, kind woman and was very attentive and tried to point me to what I was looking for. For instance, I was looking for local Gospel recordings and when I said that, she disappeared behind the counter and popped back up with EXACTLY the type of item that I had dreamed of but didn't know existed. My 5 star rating is for my personal enjoyment of the uniqueness, character, and the nice owner. 1 star for being an actual shoppable record/music store.
The ladies that were running the place made me feel like we were old friends. Didn't matter what genre I asked about they found something worth looking at. I spent way more than I had planned to but I am quite pleased with my purchases. They have new merchandise coming in every week so I can see where this could be habit forming (in a good way). I almost forgot, take cash with you if you plan on making a purchase. No plastic accepted here, cash only. I'll be going back just as soon as my wallet fattens up again.
I was looking to purchase a gospel cd track and I gave them a call and they had what I needed. This business was kinda small and had moved to this location. Overall the service was great
First of all they need to change their address on Google since they have moved to a new location. The shop is small and the records are all jammed against one wall. Most of the records are piled up flat rather than standing up front to back. This causes wear on the covers and records. Almost no records have outer sleeves and many did not have an inner sleeve. Records were in poor condition would not recommend.
