Shhhhhhhhh....I want to keep Backstreet Beats my lil secret!!!! I was in Seattle in early September for a 4 day conference...the early morning of the last day...walked to Pier 52, purchased my senior ticket for $5 buck, experienced a smooth 35 minute ferry ride...weeeeeeeeeeee...sunshine, wind in hair, people watching, while people watching me....lol Enjoyable!!!!! Explored the island, enjoyed the Museum. Ask the very friendly greeter about record store...he provided a map and away I went...smiling...walked a little further into town, .......there are 2 on the island...the first one was cute, friendly associate, limited selection of what I was looking for, she kindly directed me to Backstreet Beats...working on not being so directionally challenged, even with a map...I did not give up after, learning afterwards, I had walked by it twice!!!! SOOOOOOOOOOO worth the strange stares I received as I am sure I looked totally lost! I did not give up AND I am so glad I didn't! Backstreet Beats gave me such joy, just locating it....it's hidden in plain site!!!! When I walked in the vibe was so very welcoming and soothing! Found a beautiful selection of what I was looking for and the sales associate, please forgive, forgot your name, you are a gift....I never called back to fuss at you...(joking)...my vinyl arrived in Atlanta packed perfectly and the albums are perfect....lol...bought two that I already had, that's how excited I was!!! Great gifts!

This is by far the best vinyl shop in the area- so much variety and lots of it! I never leave with less than two albums each time I visit.

Sale associate was super helpful and friendly. We had a random conversation about Ernest Hemingway that was delightful. Loved the vintage vinyl with music playing in the background. Great prices.

This place is amazing!!! The owner is so sweet, kind and helpful! He seriously made our day! Really good price and great book selection~ also very cute book store :) we will definitely visit here again!
