This store does have a dedicated preowned/used punk LP section. Awfully small selection though. AZ in general does not have dedicated record stores selling mainly punk/hardcore/emo (and all its subgenres) music compared to other out of state record stores I been to. The punk sections are often extremely tiny in every record store I been to out here. The used 7 inches section is a complete disorganized mess. They do have a few new reissue/new pressing punk LP gems though. So that is worth checking out if you are looking for that. 4 stars because the person working up front read out the 7 inches since it was difficult to read them all. Sadly walked out empty handed still.
As a seller, definitely not worth the time. I think this goes for all Zias though so not trying to hate on this particular location but I spent 2 hours waiting for them to offer me $25 in store credit or $15 in cash. I removed some items and they gave me $10.05. 😂 At the Tempe location I had a friend go in with 2 crates worth of records and books and offered only $45 in store credit. Sell on your own if you’ve got anything of real value. Also depends on the buyer you get, and not everyone knows their stuff. How the dice roll but go elsewhere if you’re trying to sell for a fair price that makes it worth your time and effort. Sorry Zia. 2.5 stars bc the girl who initially helped me was nice.
Amazing selection of pretty much whatever you'd want. They have the best vinyl and CD collection ive been too, but I really love their DVD selection! Been coming here at least once a month for a few years and never am disappointed
Great DVD selection, good prices, same with CDs and Blu-Rays. However, their used books are priced right at eBay prices, I didn't see any deals on any of the books I pulled out, they all were priced right as much as they are currently worth - some even more so. Huge selection, but probably wouldn't go here for just books UNLESS you're into anime or comics, then you have to take a look. They have a good selection of all things. Lots of vinyl, some clothing, tons of knick-knacks and trinkets. Pretty neat, worth checking out.
To start off, I’ve always had great experiences here and really enjoy coming into the store. Fun items, good deals, cool to look around, staff are usually friendly and it’s one of my go-to spots. However, this last visit was unfortunately disappointing. I bought a DVD set for $40 thinking it was a decent deal, only to find the same set at Walmart a week later for only $25. It actually surprised me given that I get pretty good deals from here but I went back to ask if there was any flexibility, price matching, or really anything that could be done. I was simply told no without any acknowledgment or apology. I understand smaller businesses have different pricing policies, but the lack of customer care made me feel discouraged especially from a place that I really enjoy and know has really good deals. Still a solid store overall, just really hoping for better consideration in the future.
