Gus Minterin the last week

I brought a record player in here that, turned out, wasn't worth fixing. I gave it to the shop for parts, and realized like an hour after that I had left the stylus on it. When I called to ask whether I could have the stylus back, the owner refused. So he got a needle, but lost a customer. That's how you CUT DOWN THE TREE TO GET THE FRUIT!

It’s alright….. I mean the vinyls I got were fine and they sounded nice. They do have a much more expansive collection and generally I’ve had good experiences with all vinyls and finding super random Artists However my experience with the cds there was pretty bad, every cd I bought kind of sounded pretty bad

We had a wonderful experience upgrading our stereo setup. We are very novice when it comes to this stuff, but wanted a vintage setup and this was the right place to go. They had a wide selection from different eras, explained all our questions patiently, and they even fixed up our 80s turntable we’d been gifted from a parent and it works like new. They let us hear how the amp, speakers and our TT would sound all together before purchasing. It’s everything we hoped for! Can’t recommend enough.

Located in Coolidge Corner. They rate their records’ condition and put it right on the sleeve which is super helpful. Good variety and the staff knows their stuff. They also sell turntables and audio equipment if you need to upgrade your setup. Found some 90s alternative stuff here that was in great condition. Prices are marked clearly. Easy to get to on the Green Line.

I’ve been record shopping all over Boston — and this is still my favorite shop. Johnathan is an all knowing audio and music head, and the staff are awesome. Great selection of equipment from budget to HiFi Marantz etc. CD selection and Vinyl selection is always on par. Some eclectic VHS and ephemera in the back. Still rocking speakers that I bought from here 2+ years ago in my main setup. Awesome shop!
