Village Music is one of those rare, old-school gems that’s getting harder and harder to find. The moment you walk in, you feel that true family-run, mom-and-pop music shop vibe — knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about music. They’ve got loads of vintage equipment, guitars, amps, and gear that you just don’t see in big-box stores. If you’re into classic tones and retro pieces, this place is a dream to browse. The vinyl selection is especially impressive — a solid mix of classic rock, jazz, blues, and deep cuts that make crate-digging actually fun. You can tell real care goes into curating what’s on the shelves. Bonus points for the location — it’s walking distance to the village, so it’s easy to make this a stop while you’re out exploring. Whether you’re a serious musician, a vinyl collector, or just someone who appreciates a true old-school music store, Village Music is absolutely worth the visit. Highly recommend supporting this local staple! 🎶🎸
Really nice owners, the reviews might tell you otherwise but the old man was really nice and we had a nice conversation about the band Focus. Prices are a definitely high for them to be second hand. I loved the place and it’s really cozy!
Found a bunch of cool records here, pretty rear ones - the owner of the store is super super nice I definitely recommend anyone who likes music to stop by there. ❤️
The older gentleman and lady who work there are helpful and polite. I know some of the reviews seem contrary. Too many variables to know who's at fault. Either way, I've been more than once and my experience has been positive, even when I didn't buy anything. There's plenty to feast upon for the starving music enthusiast from CDs, cassettes, and obviously, vinyl. I know it's tempting to head over to Guitar Center or other big box stores, but the charm and personality you get from independent stores is forever priceless. Most of my memorable experiences have been at places like this. It may not always work with people, but go in with a positive attitude, and you'll receive it back. I've worked in customer service and I know the struggle. There's so much there to comb through, I think I'll stop writing and let my photos and video do the talking.
Love this place! Full of Records, Cds, cassettes, and instruments. Music memorabilia and cool gifts. If you're looking for pics, strings, sticks, or things to help record...this is the spot! I remember Village Music in front with all the other shops in a huuuuge building. Now, they have relocated to the back through a walkway by a few other businesses. It's such a better spot. Has cool decor, and it's more personalable. The owner was there doing his thing, introduced himself, and offered help finding whatever we needed. Even stayed open longer with no rush as i browsed. The owner had huge knowledge of classic rock. Even plays bass himself from back in the day. Played alongside some legends such as Buddy Mile's. Prices are fit for any amount you might be budgeting in your wallet. I even got an early EP single by the "Fat Boys" for $1.99 and a rare record by John Entwistle(The Who Bassist) for $30. There were sealed unopened records from Black Sabbath for $40-$50, Jimi hHendrix n more. Gotta check it out! If you're a vinyl, cassette, or CD collector, this is the place for you. If you're in a band and need something new, Village Music is where it's at!
