Turn It Up!

turn it up is a great place to go checkout older cds and movies. i used to go just for the movies, however the cd selection is far larger and has been useful since i have a car with a cd player and i would prefer to use cd's over an app. the movie selection is still pretty decent though, so if you like movies or music i would check it out. they also have cassettes and records if those interest you. they also have some unique items, i got one of my favorite bands in a japanese cd that has special tracks! the staff is nice and play good music, and they also buy the categories they sell if you are looking to sell some older media.

Went back to my old hometown and discovered a hidden gem in TURN IT UP. Can be a little difficult to spot it’s next to Sweeties but downstairs (look for the sign on the brick? Great selection of Used Vinyl and was able to pick up a few great selections at a fair price and in great condition. Played them all when I got home and no skips or anything major. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely return when in town !! HIGHLY recommend!

I love this little hole in the ground! Great throw backs, good music from CDs to vinyl records most of them are in great condition! It's a must stop place even if you don't plan on buying anything. They have DVDs and other cool trinkets inside!

A rarity, what a wonderful throwback. This place reminds me of the record store in my hometown that closed over a decade ago... its got a homey and familiar atmosphere. Decent selection, reasonable rates, top notch quality (no scratches or skipping tracks). The shop even has a place to test out the item before purchase. There's lots of great hits on the discount shelf and during the NoHo sidewalk sales you can get some pretty fab deals. Staff was friendly, I'm a happy customer. As I write this review, my purchase plays in the background... thanks! Important to note that the shop is not handicap accessible, its a basement level business with only narrow stairwell access from the main drag.

I love the Turn it Up in Northampton! This location is very unique in that it's more or less in a bacement. Down a flight of stairs and tucked away from sight. You could easily spend an hour looking at all the music they have. The place is absolutely filled with tons of stuff. I mainly go here for the larger verity of movies! So many DVDs to choose from. I even got lucky a couple times and got entire seasons of some of my favorite TV shows. The staff seem nice. I never usually talk to them. I just buy what I want and leave. Definitely a awesome place to check out if you can.
