The Rock Shop - KOP

The staff is offended if you ask them a question. I'd replace everyone working there. Also beware that they are selling bootleg vinyl disguised as "Euro Unifficial Import.". Just know what you're buying because you can be darn sure they won't help you in the store.

I always stop in when I visit the KoP mall, and haveately made trips to the Mall specifically to check back in and see any new additions since my previous visit. It's pretty cool having a legit record store inside the mall like this, and I've been able to find some more obscure/hard to find records, CDs, etc. Definitely plan to stop in regularly in my record store circuit.

Extremely unprofessional staff My husband and I were shopping at The Rock Shop this afternoon and had an arm full of items we planned to buy, but we ended up putting everything down and leaving after overhearing an incredibly inappropriate conversation between the two employees. They were loudly mocking an engaged woman who had messaged one of them on Discogs about a rare album she wanted to buy as a gift for her future husband. The worker said the album wasn’t for sale, then went on to insult her for even asking, calling her names and saying she was stupid for wanting to get married and would end up divorced. It was shocking and uncomfortable to hear employees talk that way about someone, especially so loudly in front of customers. It completely ruined the experience for us. Conversations like that should be kept private. We won’t be returning if this is the kind of behavior the store allows.

The Rock Shop has a wide variety of music selections to choose from. And, if you're shopping just for the music, they have inexpensive selections in the back of the store that have been a little over loved by their previous owners. The covers might look shabby but check out the vinyl inside. I found 6 albums that are in great condition (just needed to be cleaned), and sound good! So, if you're not a picky person, and you're not purchasing for your collection. Give it a shot for 4 to 6 dollars each, you might find something you really like! Oh and they do have newer albums in great shape for a little more money!

Fantastic store in the King of Prussia mall. I love old records and these are in great condition at a decent price. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of older stuff and new presses too. I found some old Harry Chapins that I've been looking for and they're in excellent condition. Wow!
