The Exchange

First, when I came in, I was trading in some stuff and then not even five minutes. The guy calls me up and says that we’re not willing to take your stuff. It’s basically all damaged and worthless. I won’t be returning just because of that one guy and I hope he sees this too. Don’t call people stuff worthless.

This is my favorite store in Erie, and the best camouflaged geek heaven, I have ever seen. I drove past it on Peach St. for almost a year before taking a peek inside. It's by the T-Mobile store. To get to it, you have to be heading toward I-90 and turn into it's plaza before you see it. Otherwise, it's a complete maze to backtrack to it. On the outside, it looks like a low-end second-hand shop. The sign is partially lit, and just says "Xchange - buy, sell, trade." I expected to find racks of old clothes, cardboard boxes of yard sale castoffs, etc. Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be a Tiffany's of current and past videogame, media, and pop culture curios. Everything was perfectly curated, organized, and displayed in well-lit glass cases. Everything I looked at was reasonably priced for its value. I could have done probably half of my Christmas shopping here had I known about the place. I plan to make multiple visits to soak in the nostalgia and add to my own collection and for gifts for friends and relatives.

The employees at this store are top notch. Hands down the best customer service I have ever had at any store. We went Christmas shopping here and I ended uo having an issue with my bank and my card was declined. We tried to split payments to make it work but to no avail. The employees were more than willing to help and did not make us feel any bad or as an inconvenience AT ALL. We returned the following day after fixing things on my banks side. Not only did they remember EVERY ITEM but gathered them back from the shelves for us. Which was no small feat. They made friends with our infant son and genuinely seemed happy that we had returned. I LOVE this franchise so to pick a favorite store is not easy. But the customer service the employees here showed us has made it a very clear decision for me. I will gladly drive an hour+ instead of 20 minutes to the closest Exchange to me simply due to the caliber of employees as this store. Thank guys so much!!

My family loves this store! The staff is so wonderful. If they don't have what you are looking for, they will try to find it for you. They are great with the customers and so very kind.

If you are looking for a place to sell, and buy greatly priced games, movies, and consoles I highly recommend this place. Everything is neatly organized, and put in different sections based on the console you have. Games these days are expensive so I love coming here to try a new games at a cheaper price. I also love upping my movie collection( Yes I still buy DVDs) to watch movies if I ever want a classic experience. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I highly recommend.
