Exchange! What happened to you man? You used to be cool. No deals to be had like when it still had "Record" in its name. The prices are right where they are supposed to be. It's like the physical embodiment of eBay. Nostalgia is gonna cost you.
Very nice and welcoming staff. When I mentioned I found a better deal at Walmart, they even tried to price match it. Way better than GameStop, who won’t price match or give any deals on games that are 4–5 years old. Great customer service and a much better experience overall!
This is an incredible shop! The Exchange is similar to GameStop (in the same sort of way that the Great Lakes are similar to a rain puddle). Staff were abundant and helpful. The store was filled all kinds of items, and games of all types. It's the kind of place that you can find nostalgic throwbacks, the new hotness and everything in between. By comparison, GameStop (just a few doors down) always seems chaotic, very corporate and perpetually understaffed.
(5) Stars? No Questions here my friends. The exchange down at the steel yard commons is the place to go these days. Whether your buying, selling or just looking around, I almost guarantee you a good time. The store is cool,Point, Blank Period. If you think all they have and deal with is movies and music, you have another think coming. Check out a few of my photos I'm getting ready to Post and you may be taken by surprise. Did I mention the staff? Forgive me, every single one of them male and female are helpful, patient, kind, respectful, caring, nice and they will work with ya in more ways than one. This past week, I personally have went there a total of three times to look around and conduct a little business persay. For some odd reason, when I leave there store, I actually feel a tad bit happier than I did when I first walked in there. Great Prices, Great People and a freaking Wide Variety of merchandise both new and used. I would honestly think there is a little something there for each and every one of us. So, what are you waiting for my friends? Let's all rent out a huge U-Haul truck and we can all car pull down to The Exchange pretty much next door to target down in the Steel Yard Commons. That's the name of that tune! Come one, Come All and let's al have a ball,.. (lol)- Check out my photos. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, You decide for yourself. Update, It's September 13, 2025.These past couple of days I have went back to the exchange and I had the pleasure of meeting a new store manager who's name is Kye. Set all jokes aside, he's a brother like no other. It's the main reason I will continue to go to this exchange. In my opinion,It all begins with customer service and that's more than an opinion! That's a fact!Hats off to you "Kye" and your co-workers. You got something good unfolding in your store and that is one thing you can't put a Price tag on. Keep up the great work and if the actual owners of this Exchange down in the steel yard commons ever find this post and read it, Everyone that works here is going above and beyond just what they get paid to do and why fix something that's not already broken? Stay Strong and Stay Tuned 😇
Fantastic organization, friendly staff that were hard at work, and a great variety. Best selection of cds ive seen in a very long time. Also has records, tapes (like vcr tapes), video games, figurines, miscellaneous novelty items, consoles, comics, etc. Had a wide range of games and consoles, including newer issues of retro consoles, but also OGs. Saw switch, gameboy, n64, nes/snes. Ps1, ps2 and on. For sega, games I saw were primarily genesis but they had some.other consoles. I didnt see game gear or master system. Got some tapes and I really like this place. I recommend but dont expect flea market /yard sale prices.
