I started going to the Cave a few years ago because I am a huge 1980’s-1990’s toy fan. I became almost instantly aware that they have a program in which they buy a wide variety of toys, trading cards, DVD/Blu-Ray, and even watches. The first couple times I took some stuff(the first lot I sold to the Cave consisted of well over 400 Hot Wheels including Premiums and a number of Treasure Hunts, and over 100 Matchhox card too) in to them I really needed the money as I had been out of work and I was resorting to selling anything to make some income. For all the Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars, about 20 Premiums and at least 15 Treasure Hunts. All the cars were in the packages which were kept in an air tight bin. So in really, really good condition. I was offered around $350 for the lot. I don’t even want to get into what that cost me to buy all of them, and I don’t want to do the math on how much they are going to make on those HW’s and Matchbox toys. Sone are as old as the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. So I went back in occasionally to sell things if my wife and I needed the money. As time went on I noticed that the amount of money being offered was dropping significantly each time. I also noticed that the manager at the Folsom Cave was generally cordial for a while but then I asked if I was allowed to haggle with them over the offer they gave me for whatever. She said yes and basically allowed me to haggle a couple times. After that it was either take the offer or take your stuff back. She became almost rude. I also got the feeling that they were suspicious of me like the stuff I was selling to them was stolen(which it definitely wasn’t). I took in a basically brand new Citizen Eco Drive with an almost dark blue face. It was almost $400 when it was purchased. I figured they would offer at least a hundred. She offered me $25 and when I asked if she could do any better she said she could give me $28??? I then asked her what they would sell it for and she admitted they would sell it for at least $100. So they, in my opinion, are greedy and very unintelligent when it comes to pricing valuable goods. If you go to the Folsom store be careful. And be ready to receive a low ball offer. At this point I’d rather go to a pawn shop. And I HATE pawn shops.

This little shop of treasures is just fun to visit. Never know what you will find or what kind of deals you might stumble across! Staff is always helpful and friendly

Its a cave in name, but in reality its more like a connected system of caves to say the least. As the sign promises, selling items, buying items and fixing items. A nice place, nice staff, wonderful location by the DMV on Bidwrll and East Bidwell. Ample wheelchair friendly parking and good working hours. Wally Jo's THUMBS-UP. Pictures and a video to follow 😉

Cool stuff at The Cave (previously Dimple Record Store). Can't afford it but it's cool. The cd section was still a bit mixed up but it was much better than last time we shopped there last summer. I miss Tower Records but sadly those years have passed.

I’ve been here a few times. Overall it’s a really fun store! More recently they’ve spent good time reorganizing everything. The store used to be more like a random bin of toys, music, clothes, etc. Now it’s better organized. There’s a nice little section of new and used records. Random McFarlane and Marvel Legends toys are here. There’s less than the Sacramento location but it’s still a good amount to browse through. Only reason why I wouldn’t give it 5 stars is because the records are overpriced. I did find some video game records, which IMO are worth picking up at the price
