One of the best record stores around. Absolutely amazing staff, very helpful.
This is the best place they've ever to go the people are great that work there they're really nice they will help you in any way they can and if they can't help you to punch you in the right direction they're very good people and I would suggest anyone to go check them out they're awesome people
best record store i’ve been to so much selection on music and cool stuff definitely check it out you’ll love it !!!!
I used to visit Terrapin Station while in university (MSU) when it was a renovated house ..... Always looked forward to getting my music fix (in the early 1990s that was in the form of cassettes)....I was able to visit again recently after 30 years!! (during my son's university visit). It was like travelling back in time....I picked Bowie's Low and Taylor Ho Bynum's Navigation (both on vinyl).....I love supporting local music venues and record shops, especially the ones that hold sentimental value!!!
Going to Terrapin Station for Record Store Day has become something we've made into a family tradition for the past few years now. I love the concept of RSD but I enjoy going to a local place like Terrapin Station as a family even more. We live about an hour away but it's always worth the drive. There's usually a line of people waiting for the store to open but everything is so well organized, we're able to get in quickly to find what we're looking for. Waiting in line is part of the experience ... we've struck up a number of conversations inquiring about what everyone is intending to buy. We started going because of Record Store Day but we usually end up staying in the store for a while browsing through the rest of their inventory. They have a fantastic collection of new and used vinyl. I love digging through all their used 45s. I've even picked up some albums from previous RSD events. I could easily spend a few hours in there digging through all their merchandise. And lastly ... the staff could not be friendlier. Down to earth people who have a love of music and want to share it with others. Check them out on Record Store Day or, better yet, support them whenever you can by picking up a record from your favorite artist. Record shops like this allow you to find new music and play a large part in furthering the art form.
