Opened inconsistently, thrift store selection at boutique prices and apparently will open one of his two locations in town randomly without any rime or reason making it hard to know where you should drive. Not worth the hour long drive I made. Owner makes excuses for his selection blaming the area despite there being a significantly better record store down the street. If you’re in Easton skip this place and go to Bill’s on Dover Street.
I drove a hour to go see this place, I saw it was open so I made the drive. I get all the way down there and the place was closed. 2 hour round trip wasted due to laziness on the owners part. UPDATE YOUR HOURS!
Found some halfway decent stuff, with scratches. 75% of the inventory isn't priced. There's a hallway to the side that offers prices from $1-$5, and none of it is marked. I had three records, went to pay, and the lady had to call the owner. I heard him say "records from the hallway? That's where I have the most expensive stuff". It was not expensive stuff. Or shouldn't be. I left, because I stood there for 10 minutes waiting for the lady to look up on various websites what to charge for two iffy records. Bill's by Rise Up is better by a country mile.
Not much of a selection of hip hop or rap music only CDs. But the owner was a nice guy and explained to me its hard to come by in Easton. Definitely still a cool spot to come check out. Might find some hidden gems!
My folks live in the relatively sleepy town of Easton, MD, so I was so happy to find a record store. (It was actually my second visit, but last time they were located in a little old house with a screened-in porch.) When Google Maps tells you you've arrived, don't give up: The shop is located around the back and up the stairs. They aren't open M-W but give a call because owner Rick can meet you by appointment those days. He has a cool collection of reasonably priced used LPs (including a bargain section) as well as some CDs (he does carry local acts), DVDs, and cassettes. Strong rock collection and several amusing oddities. Rick is a really nice guy and I look forward to visiting again!
