This shop has a fun, eclectic selection of used records and friendly staff who pointed me to some local punk releases I hadn’t heard. I bought a handful of mid-century jazz pressings in decent condition for surprisingly good prices. The shop’s listening station lets you preview records before buying, which I appreciated. It’s small but has character, and I enjoyed the browsing vibe. Great stop if you like crate-digging.
Love the spot. They carry all sorts of tapes, vinyls, cds and vintage stuff. You could spend hours in here looking at everything.
This record store is iconic. It was the original Silver Dollar where Mexican-American journalist Rubén Salazar was murdered by LA sherrifs. Today, it contains tons of Chicano records, shirts and memorabilia. The owner is very knowledgeable on all the local history because the business has been in the family for over 40 years. Check it out and get your Chicano Power fit and rolas. Don't forget to check out the mural across the street dedicated to Salazar and the Chicano Moratorium.
Nice record store with good findings. Staff were very friendly and helpful. One of them even helped me find records together in the racks 🙏 Easy to find street parking.
Second time in my life being at this store, Mike and Memo are awesome people and hooked it up with the records and there T-shirts, love this store and I plan on coming back God willing, that store has some history and it takes me back in time, well my dads time, I loved how Mike was telling me the stories about the place it was deep, thanks man, I’ll be back here soon and thank you for hooking it up!!
