Amazing spot at a cool little intersection in Maplewood. Never been during the week, but the dude on the weekend is nice, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Great selection, good atmosphere. A nice chill record spot.
great CD selection!! a place you can find that *one album you’ve been looking for and leave with surplus of stuff you’re excited to have found
Awesome vibes and sweet sounds fill this well organized and artistically decorated record shop. Your faves on the walls and coming through the speakers. The collections of old and new are as varied visually as they are sonically. From Megadeath to Toni Braxton’s classics on vinyl to the new KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack on CD! Mike is amazing at making sure you find both everything your looking for but also what you didn’t even know you needed!
This is a good store, with lots of interesting weird records and bootlegs but they were a little pricey. There are a lot of used records. On the more inexpensive side, there are $1 and $5 bins and $2 cassettes. The space is well organized and easy to move about.
You need to visit SOMA Sounds. It is an awesome store. Stocked with vinyl: well organized, fairly priced, diverse selection of music. Fits the SOMA vibe: friendly and unpretentious but very different and edited compared to other parts of NJ. A jewel box of a store, great owners with a community vibe.
