Silver Platters Lynnwood

Giving 1 star because I have to give at least that. I had been to the Lynnwood location several times, always using the same purse as I did today. It was kiddos birthday and we took her to get a new cd. Walk in and got yelled at by a cashier, saying they need my purse checked at the desk. I ask why and I was told it was policy, but I can take out any valuables and carry them around the store with me...which is completely safe to just carry my wallet around. Mind you, every time I have been to this location, with the same purse, I have never been asked to "check it at the desk" including a month ago, right before Christmas with a packed store. There were also several other women I noticed who were also carrying purses of similar size. So I'd like to thank this location for discriminating against me and my family, because clearly the parents of a visually impaired and disabled kiddo who are celebrating a birthday are thieves and cannot be trusted to carry a purse around your store. I will be sure to pass the word of you discriminating against us to other parents of disabled kiddos, so they know where they are not welcome to peruse. Had it not been our kiddos birthday today, we would not have made a purchase and trust that you will never receive another dime from us.

Cashiers are always helpful and quick to answer questions, the process of ordering CDs if they don't have the one in stock that you want is very simple and they'll call you when it's ready for pickup

Great place to buy CDs, DVDs, records and posters! This is where I found a Back To the Future set (all 3 movies) for $20! I say it's a great price. You can bring your old ones to get store credit and use it to buy newer ones. So many choices here, place is huge.

Really good record store in Lynnwood. Big selection. The used records are mixed in with the new so you don’t have to hunt through multiple sections to find an artist or album you are looking for. Staff is nice and knowledgeable, easily providing suggestions based on what we were already purchasing.
