Bought the trace jacket and while the price is steep the cut and the details are great. The cashmere on outside is surprising and wasn’t demonstrated so well on website (I thought it was on the inside). It looks nice on. However there is a huge design flaw anyone buying should be aware of. The zips have too much taping. The zips have strings on them to allow you to grab them with gloves on however the teeth of the zips are so small and the taping goes over the teeth that it’s impossible to open any zips on the jacket without removing both gloves and using both hands. If you want to remove a phone or even zip up the collar when it’s windy, you need to remove both gloves and hold the jacket with one free hand and pull hard with the other bare hand. And this huge design flaw renders this otherwise amazing jacket unusable. I have back country jackets for powder that don’t have this much unnecessary taping. And somehow I assume a jacket at this price will be used more for apres than deep powder days anyways. As a back country jacket it would be even worse to use. It is so unfortunate because it fits so well and is very comfortable but it is extremely frustrating to use - to the extent that I don’t have a situation where I’d be willing to compromise basic utility such as accessing pockets and zipping up the jacket without struggling. And so regrettably, I won’t use the jacket again. I hope they can address this design flaw and fix it in the subsequent seasons otherwise I would recommend to consider your usage of jacket before buying.
