1st Record Safari 10 star top spot of 2026! If you feel the need for some 33 1/3 rpm speed and you find yourself in Memphis, swing into River City Records. Fantastic blues selection, Cd's, cassettes, T shirts, decals and reasonable prices on new and used. The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. If you gotta chose 1, this is it. Over the years, when my travels take me to Memphis for a day or two, I will always stop in here to check out their records & chat a bit with the staff during my strolls along Main Street.

From the moment I walked in the store I felt like I was being well taken care of. I was asked about my interests and they helped me find things I didn’t even know I needed. I ended up leaving with several new vinyls and a couple of posters for my kids. So much fun exploring the shop.

River City has the best selection of records in Memphis. The customer service is top tier. If you’re in town check them out. My favorite employee is Groovy!

Friendly, accommodating, and helped me find some records. Prices are reasonable. New and old stock. Tip. Don't use Google Maps for finding your way there via car or you will end up in a very tight one way dead end ally. Use Google maps walking to find your way very easily.
