A gorgeous little record shop and coffee joint filled with gems. Lots of places to just sit and hang. Very fair prices.
I am super disappointed in the lack of costumer service and the poor quality of their used vinyl. I had bought several Carpenters records for my mother, who is just starting her collection. I myself have been collecting for 15+ years. The records I bought were graded as “very good” and I did not check the actual vinyl until I got home. Upon seeing the deep scratches on two of the three and the third one being caked in dirt/dust, I tested the scratched two and they had clear skips meaning the scratches were not just cosmetic. My mother’s record player is a quality Audio Technica and not a Crossly case player or anything. I called the store to see about getting a refund or a possible exchange. They said they would check the records and see what they could do. When I arrived the person behind the desk, who I believe is the owner, tested the two scratched records. The records played with skips and pops on his turn table, even with the weight on his needle’s arm being clearly heavier than my mine at home. I expressed that the visible scratches were not just cosmetic and were actually audible. He said he didn’t know what “cosmetic scratches” were and that “very good” grading is expected to have scratches/skips. He also claimed the dirty record was not dirty and that he cleaned each one. I let him know I have been collecting for 15 years and know what the quality of a V.G. graded record should be and what a dirty record looks like. He turned his back to me and said he didn’t know what he could do, as if I hadn’t made it clear I would exchange the records for a better quality one. If the records were acceptable by his standards, why would he not take them back and issue store credit towards something I deem an acceptable quality? After he seemed to shut down I told him I would eat the funds and left. I am incredibly disappointed after being so excited more record shops were opening in town. Don’t waste your time/money here!
Had no idea they serve beer and espresso in the lounge area! Pleasantly surprised!
Got two vinyl records. Decent prices. Excellent atmosphere. I think you'll like it if you're into coffee and vinyls, as this isnt just a vinyl store; it's also a coffee shop.
Met with a friend at Reverie Record and had a wonderful time! They had delicious coffee, plenty of comfortable seating, great atmosphere, and kickass music! I highly recommend Reverie Records for anyone who wants good drinks and music! 10/10 I highly recommend them!
