Worker was trying to push me out. Kept asking if I needed help finding anything every 5 minutes. Then told me he was going to take his break soon, to coerce me out. Take a break from what? sitting on a stool all day? However it was a cool shop, and well organized collection of music. Prices were reasonable.
Whoever the worker was on 02/08/2026 around 4:30, that guy needs to be fired. My girlfriend and I drove in from Georgia. I love records thought I might stop by to see what was there. The worker was very rude and not professional. As soon as we walked in he told us that he was about to be on break, then after the fact he just kept asking us if we needed help like he wanted us to leave. Just very rude, who would ever want to shop in that type of environment. Also, doesn’t the owner want to make money? So why rush clients? Go buy your records elsewhere!
Very poor customer service and experience with this record store. As an avid record collector, I went in based off of an Instagram post stating they have an Indie Exclusive of Olivia Dean’s “The Art of Loving” printed on a lilac color. Upon arrival, we asked “do you have the Olivia Dean record you posted on Instagram?” The Instagram post stated they had copies of the LIMITED EDITION LILAC LP OF THE ART OF LOVING. The owner/man running the store stated yes, it’s on the wall and is the last copy. This is a brand new, sealed record so there was no way for us to see the color of the record. We went based on his word and purchased the record. Upon opening the record, the disc is black. I already own the black pressing and would have never purchased this, had I known. I called the store and explained the situation. He was INCREDIBLY rude and dismissive and took NO ACCOUNTABILITY. He stated we never asked about a specific color, or Instagram post. He became very angry and never apologized once. You cannot be a small business and treat PAYING customers the way he treated us and expect to thrive. I will never return to this store and do not recommend it to anyone else. He is incredibly rude and disrespectful.
Sharod is always willing to have a great conversation about music. He always throws awesome pre-release listening parties! The store is a great place to get some hard to find records. Sharod is also willing to do custom orders - like the vinyl pictured! Great local business to support.
Honestly the rudest record store clerk I’ve ever encountered. He turned the music down twice just to yell at customers who were literally trying to purchase records. If the shop has a hundred unspoken rules for grown adults, maybe make a sign before people walk in. Also, hot take, but if someone wants to take a picture of the shop to share and bring business in from their Instagram… maybe don’t shout at them. The vibe was tense and unwelcoming. Cool products, but the customer service kills the experience.
