Record Range

This was the first time I have ever taken a zoom class of any kind. I enjoyed the class structure and also the instructor very much. I felt that the class was very informative and easy to follow. Thank you for your Time. And for offering the class in this manner.

I have attended classes at Firearms Acadamy of Redding for close to 5 years now. I highly recommend Joel and his staff. They are excellent instructors and know how to keep their students on point. WIth 35 years experience teaching and having a Law Enforcement Background Joel brings his years of experience to the front of the classroom.

Just completed Firearms Academy of Redding (FAR's) 16 hour Initial California Concealed Weapons training course. Joel's instruction was 2nd to none. I greatly appreciated the first 8 hours conducted online via Zoom on two separate 4 hour blocks, from the comfort of my home. Range day is the final part of the course, and again Joel and his range staff provided 2nd to none hands on firearm training. Despite my 20 + years of military service and training with various weapons, I still really enjoyed Joel's range class, it was a great refresher for me. If you have no or little firearm training, Joel is defiantly the instructor I would recommend to any one new to firearms. I hope to train again soon with Joel and his team. Thanks FAR!

Just a quick word if I may about the “Redding Firearms Academy”. I’ve been using them for years and it’s always been an extremely awesome experience. Both Joel Northrup and Dave Morley are have tons of experience and they take great pride and joy in passing that experience on to others. Their confidence and enthusiasm are very contagious making the lecture and range sessions so much fun. They both go out of their way to help everyone in any way that they can. It’s always a relaxed and inviting environment (very conducive to quality training). You have lots of choices where you may go for your CCW training, and I’m sure that several of them are just fine, but if you want the best then I’d suggest that you contact Joel & Dave at the Redding Firearms Academy. You’ll have a great time as I always do.

Did my first class with Joel back in 1994 when he was just a kid :-) and have been taking his classes ever since. Always informative and he really makes you think about the power and responsibility that comes with a CCW permit. He also puts yours, his and everyone else's safety a top priority. I wouldn't go any where else.
