I look forward to visiting this store every time I'm in the area. The selection is great and the atmosphere is perfect. I've had nothing but great experiences here.
The selection was nice, but the pricing was very random. Some records were $3, some were $30 and there was never a reason why. I can't express how discontent I was with the service there. The people working were so unbelievably rude. When we walked in, they weren't even gonna bother greeting us, as they were on speaker phone with someone clearly not important to business. They played the music so loud I had to yell for my friend to understand me from two feet away. They were eating breakfast as they were doing the transaction, and did not give me my full change. And they had the audacity to mutter under their breath about me and my friend as we were walking away from the transaction, due to an error they made. Whoever is running this business has to have their employees get their shit together, because I've had better service from literal teenagers at a Toys R Us. There are many other record shops in Burlington who value your time and money far more. And all for similar prices. DONT BOTHER shopping here if all you're gonna get is rude mediocrity.
Omg this is my fav record store I’ve ever been to. Their prices, AMAZING. Probably best you’ll ever see for these artists, you’d pay double on Amazon, and it’s better to support record stores anyway. Had such a huge collection and even free posters. I’d highly recommend for anyone in the area, and I’m from CT.
I always have such a fun time at Pure Pop Records!!! So much to see. Easily could spend a few hours searchung through the many cd's and vinly records! They have everything, even some fun collectors toys!
Pure Pop Records is a small independent record store at the intersection of College Street and South Winooski Avenue since 1981. They still carry cassette tapes, compact discs and vinyl records from almost every musical genres you can think of. If you don't see what you're looking for, don't go to online retailers yet. Just call or visit the store and they usually can special order it for you and you can pick it up in store in a few days as long as the item is still in print. They now offer online pre-orders on select new releases and you can pick up in store. They do participate in Record Store Day when exclusive limited edition releases hit the shelves.
